Casey was born in 1979 in California where her
mother, Denise O’Connor, immersed her in the horse world at the age of
two. The O’Connors moved to Pennsylvania in 1984 and Banbury Cross Ltd.
was established shortly thereafter. Casey rode ponies for her mom and
other trainers in the area for many years in the local show circuit. As
a young child Casey trained mainly with her mom Denise. As her junior
career progressed, Casey worked closely with Jeffrey Ayers who helped
Denise take her through her junior years with success. Throughout her
junior years Casey did a lot of catch riding and was therefore very
fortunate to have been able to work with many prominent trainers in the
tri-state area. |
